How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack on our 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. Adding a roof rack system to your Bronco Sport is gonna help solve the problem of not having a lot of cargo space, especially if you're at full capacity with your passengers. This is gonna allow you to use the negative space on top of your roof and gain additional room for those bigger, bulkier items that you're gonna take on your journey with you. Taking a closer look at the JetStream bars in our system, they're 60 inches long. They're gonna give you about eight inches of overhang, so that can come in handy for additional tie down points or if you want to use your T track slot that's on the top closer to the end. Also, your timberline towers are gonna go right into this space that wrap around your bars. more

The roof rack system today is made of the 60-inch Yakima CoreBar and the Yakima TimberLine Towers with the adapter for the CoreBar. The width on this is 2 3/4 inch. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Recovery Board Bracket for our sidebar that works with our Yakima Outpost HD truck bed system. The Yakima Recovery Board Bracket can support up to four recovery boards. For our example, I've just grabbed a couple MAXTRAX MKII boards. They're thicker and they're a little bit beefier boards and they fit just fine as far as the clearance between the top of your HD bar and the bottom of the side of the bed. So they go on really easily. You just wanna try to bear in mind the size of your boards as far as the spacing between the front and rear brackets. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster charge line kit on a 2021 Ford F150. Adding a charge line to your F150 is a great option because the battery stays in the accessory mode and stays on while flat towing. Your braking system always uses a little bit of 12 volt power as well. So as you're going down the road that battery's gonna wanna drain and you wanna be able to trickle charge that to make sure that it doesn't die while towing, but also you won't have to jumpstart it when you get to your campsite. Having a charge line is going to accomplish that for you. It's very simple, it just ties into your six pole and that will get the 12 volt source via your umbilical from the RV run to your circuit breaker. more

Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Ford Focus we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect switch. But before we get into that, why don't we just take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. What this kit is going to allow you to do is to easily disconnect and reconnect the battery and power on your Focus. And you need to do that because with the Focus, at least in our case, with the automatic transmission, Ford wants you to disconnect the battery whenever you're flat towing. And that don't sound too bad at first, but having to remember to disconnect it every time and get your tools out and pop the hood and go, you know, remove it, remove your terminal, you know, and then doing that whenever you're ready to take your car out for a spin, that could get old real quick. more

GCH Custom Third Brake Light Camera Installation - 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video

Hi, John with etrailer. If you're looking to keep an eye on the cargo in your truck-bed, then checkout this GCH third brake light camera that we installed on our 2019 Ford F250 Super Duty. You guys that have the tailgate cameras know that if you have a tailgate down, you're just getting a view of your trailer hitch, the bumper hitch down there. Now, in a gooseneck or a fifth-wheel situation, that's not gonna help you out at all, so if we switch back now to that camera, we do have a clear shot of our trailer, and it's gonna help us backup and line up to it. So, a lot of you guys out there with toolboxes, you asked the question, "Is the toolbox gonna block the view" And in our case today, it does. Now, you can do a couple of things to alleviate this, obviously if you know, if you're working out there, you need a toolbox, they do have the ones that are flush-mounted with the side of the bed, so that would probably allow more of a field of view, so that you could see your gooseneck ball here. more

Demco SBS Towed Car Conversion Kit Installation - 2018 Ford Explorer- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Towed vehicle Conversion. Now this is gonna be if you had a Stay-IN-Play DUO which is a great braking system but you've upgraded your coach to air brakes, this is gonna allow you to convert to an Air Force One and that way you can get air brakes working on your towed vehicle. So throughout a flat tow vehicle's lifespan sometimes you end up upgrading either the vehicle or the coach, and that means not everything plays ball. So if you've gone to a larger coach with air brakes then unfortunately the Stay-IN-Play DUO is not going to be working. So instead of taking out the entire system you can simply buy the conversion which is gonna give you the main unit here as well as the lines to hook up to the front, your air line, also your fitting here, and also the tank and fittings to hook up to the air supply on your RV. Now this is a pretty simple system especially if you have everything in place, You just kind of cut a few wires. more

Charge lines are something that I recommend to just about anyone that's flat towing a vehicle. Unless you have a battery disconnect and even sometimes with the battery disconnect, you wanna make sure that the battery of your towed vehicle is not going to start to dwell once you're towing it, and then when you get to your campsite you end up having to jumpstart your vehicle. Just to save yourself that little bit of headache I think the charge line is worth it even if it saves you from having to do that once. And the reason being is it's very simple to put in place. You wanna make sure you're doing this at the same time as your diode wiring because it's pretty simple. more

How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, installing it and explaining how it works on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, with the F-150 we have a good amount of bed storage, but if you want to get some longer or larger items, like say a kayak, or maybe you want to use this in conjunction with like a ladder rack system to get some longer loads up on top of your roof, this is gonna be a great option to do so. So, let's take a closer look at how it works. As far as the weight capacity goes of our roof rack system, it is really robust, but you want to keep a couple things in mind, that being the fact that the system itself has a weight, the accessories that you're gonna put on 'em. Also we're going to add to that, and your roof is going to be rated for a specific weight as well. Make sure you check the owner's manual in your case, find out what that weight rating is and make sure that all of the components, including the roof rack and the accessories don't exceed that limit. more

How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Yakima Jet Stream Roof Rack System on our 2022 Ford Edge. With the Edge here, we don't have any sort of raised rails, any sort of flush rails, but if we do want to get anything longer or larger like rooftop accessories, whether that be kayaks, roof boxes, baskets, skiing/snowboard carriers, anything like that up onto our roof, we're first gonna need a roof rack system. So the process if we're getting it on this roof can be a little bit tricky, but we'll walk you through that. when we get to the install section, This is just gonna be a look at how that system fits on this car. Demco SBS Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit Installation - 2022 Ford Escape- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Demco Battery Charge Line here on our 2022 Ford Escape. So a battery charge line is one of these smaller components of your flat tow setup, but it is a requirement here for the Escape because your battery will drain when you're towing it behind your motor home. So if you don't find a way to charge that from the motor home while you're driving, you're gonna arrive to the campsite with a dead battery, which is not something any of us want. So the battery charge line circuit is gonna hook up to the positive battery terminal here on the vehicle. So the battery's actually in the trunk, so we're hooking up to a positive terminal here on the engine bay. And then it's gonna consist of a wire that runs to the front of the vehicle, and then through the umbilical cord to the motor home. more

Durabilt Hammer Lock Coupling Link Installation - 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty- Video

With some of these new trucks, I don't know what the manufacturer was thinking when it comes to the safety chain loopholes on your hitch. So, sometimes you're gonna have some hooks that just aren't gonna fit. They don't give you much room at all. It's kind of a weird little shape. So, some hooks aren't gonna fit and some solutions to that also aren't really gonna fit. And then not to even say that these can be easily taken off when they are on. more

This rail adapter here is gonna allow you to mount a fifth wheel hitch that mounts using above bed industry standard rails into your truck here with the factory prep package. Now I know a lot of you guys who've been fifth wheel towing for a while, you already have a fifth wheel hitch that you really like, but you've just recently upgraded trucks that now has the factory prep package. Now there are some fifth wheel hitch options that mount directly to the factory prep package, but let's say you don't wanna buy a new fifth wheel hitch, you just wanna be able to reuse your old fifth wheel hitch. Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness Install - 2022 Ford F-250 Super- Video

Ola neighbors, It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the vehicle specific wiring harness piggyback for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, on a 2022 Ford F-250. Having vehicles specific harness is going to allow you to plug in directly to your factory tow plug on your vehicle. And this does come with the kit and you can splice this in, but I'm a big fan of the plug and play aspect of having a vehicle specific harness, and that way you know it's gonna be hooked up correctly and you're not having to go back and troubleshoot. As opposed to our included harness, the vehicle specific one actually has a very nice OEM plug and a nice sheathing that goes around it, and that's gonna protect these wires from any chafing that might make contact in the dash. Now, I'm gonna show you how that harness makes this installation nice and easy. The first part of the installation is really planning it out how you want it to look and how it's going to sit on your dash, so, here we have the trailer brake kinda spacer here, and that's gonna be nice, it gives it a good look on the knob. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2013 Ford C-Max, we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Towed Vehicle Charge Line Kit. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure you know, that this is going to be the kit for you So charge line kit is really going to accomplish one thing and that's to make sure that your battery in the C-Max is always topped off and it's always, has full juice whenever you're flat towing it behind your motor home. And that's something that's really important, you know, because when you get to where you're going, you want to have that confidence on that you can just turn the key and, you know, start your car right up. And with that said, the reason that the battery can get depleted whenever you're flat towing it is because generally speaking, just about every breaking system out there is gonna use battery power to operate, all right. And so, whenever you're going down the road for hours on end, and that breaking system is constantly taking a little bit of juice here and there, you know, it don't take that much time for your battery to run flat, you know, and then you gotta go through the trouble of, you know, pulling a charger out, or getting a jump box, or cables, bothering someone to help you and everything else. more
